Ann Constable and Sir William Curtis
The Revd Thomas Roberts' sister-in-law, Ann Constable, was born 7 Feb 1757, and baptised 24 Feb 1757 at St Peter le Poer, London, "youngest and posthumous daughter and coheiress of Edward Constable Esq". On 9 Nov 1776, at Tottenham, London, she married Sir William Curtis, of the Parish of St John, Wapping, merchant and _ _ _ of Burr Street in the Parish of St Botolph, Aldgate, Robarts Curtis Bank, Lombard Street, Lord Mayor of London, 1774-5, M.P. for London, 1790-1818 and 1820, and for Bletchingley, 1819, for Hastings 1826, created Baronet 23 Dec 1802. Curtis was born 25 Jan 1752, son of Joseph Curtis of London, b 1715, m Mary Tennant, d 21 Mar 1771. Sir William Curtis died 18 Jan 1829.



  Their children were:
* William Curtis b 2 Mar 1782 2 Bart, m 19 Nov 1803 Mary Anne Lear.

* Emma Curtis who d 22 Jun 1857, m 18 Jun 1803 Henry Cadwallader Adams of Anstey Hall who d 31 Aug 1843.

* Timothy Abraham Curtis b 30 Jan 1786 m1 25 Apr 1809 Margaret Harriet Green m2 Frances Pitt Constable, daughter of L.B. Constable [m E. Wildebore]

* Capt George Curtis b 10 Sep 1784 m Anna Delicia Windsor. Captain Curtis left 50 Pounds to the Revd Thomas Roberts (his mother's brother-in-law) and 25 Pounds each to his sisters Mary Roberts of Southgate and Sarah Roberts of Southgate.

* Charles Berwick Curtis b 18 Mar 1795 [m1 D. Wilde m2 S. Williamson]

* Rebecca Mary Curtis m 29 Mar 1828 Capt Timothy Curtis.
